THE COTTAGE Full of character and tastefully furnished throughout, Gavel Cottage offers a comfortable holiday retreat located to the south of the village of Bowness with views across parkland towards the Lake. The cottage is situated in a secluded position yet conveniently placed for the Hawkshead Ferry point and is approximately one mile from the village centre. The accommodation has the benefit of gas central heating and comprises: To the ground floor; entrance hall with cloaks stand, fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and plenty of space for cloaks, wellies and drying outdoor gear. The open plan living area includes a snug sitting area having an open fireplace, two sofas and matching footstool, coffee table, remote control TV and DVD, radio/CD player and pay phone. A timber open tread stairway leads to the first floor. The dining area has a pine dining table with six matching chairs, pine dresser rack and small occasional table. Completing the ground floor area is the kitchen fitted with a comprehensive range of units incorporating a split-level electric oven and four ring ceramic hob with extractor above, microwave and dishwasher.
