About Sladen Lodge - Self Catering Cottage Holidays


Situated in Hathersage in the heart of the Peak District, The Lodge is a beautifully, luxurious contemporary self catering property, the ideal place to relax and unwind.

There are 7 individually accessed en-suite bedrooms which can be made up with either two singles or one huge super-king size bed in each - sleeping up to 16 guests. There is a large open-plan day room for groups to dine together around one table and a well equipped kitchen. There is a choice of sitting rooms, the larger being spacious, filled with comfy sofas and a 46” TV with Sky and Blu-ray DVD player.

This is the perfect place to have a family reunion or a catch up with friends.

We can also offer corporate clients an exclusive venue for colleagues to get to know and understand each other.

The Lodge offers a unique environment to do just that – it’s relaxed and informal atmosphere encourages openness and engagement with one another.

Sladen Lodge is located in Hathersage in the heart of the Peak District National Park. It nestles in the Hope Valley amongst gently rolling hills and dramatic gritstone edges. It is a walker's paradise, with no end of varied routes to suit all ages and abilities. For the more adventurous there are numerous activities such as climbing, abseiling, clay-pigeon shooting and caving nearby, or your can opt to visit one of the many historic attractions in the area.

Derbyshire abounds with historic houses and parks. Many of these have been used recently as filming locations and they are all set in unspoilt countryside. There is Chatsworth, Kedleston, where The Duchess has been filmed, Sudbury, Haddon Hall, where Jane Eyre was filmed in the recent television series, Melbourne Hall, Wingfield Manor, Hardwick Hall, Shugborough Hall, Calke Abbey and Carnfield Hall. With Bolsover Castle and Ashby Castle there are many historic buildings to explore.
